Our Rugby Development Manager, Simon Kneebone, has advised of an exciting opportunity he has been given to coach in the professional area and develop further his own personal goals. To do this, Simon has had to tender his resignation with the Club. Simons involvement with the Club extends beyond the more recent RDM role. He has been a coach and supporter for many years. When you see the next generation of Kneebone’s playing at junior and Colts level you know his, and his families, support and loyalty to CFC his immense. In Simons own words the decision made immensely hard due to my commitment and loyalty to the club.
There is never a good time for a change like this. Simon will continue to help plan and recruit for the 2021 season until his departure and as we find a new RDM.
The Board and Club thank Simon for his services over the years and we wish him, Cherie and the family, all the best in his new coaching role.
We are working through finding a replacement for the role. If any member is interested or you know of anyone that would be a suitable candiaiate please have them email Tony Hussey a.hussey@xtra.co.nz to express interest.
