Junior Rugby
We can't believe it's the last game of the season this weekend, and what a fantastic season it's been.
Don't forget the end of season party this Saturday night at the clubrooms. Time: 5pm-7pm, Theme: 'When I grow up, I want to be…' - prizes for Adults, Boys and Girls.
One of the biggest highlights of the rugby season for the older grades in our junior section is going on Tournament, we have three teams heading to Queenstown tomorrow to compete in the Global Games Festival. All teams have been working hard with fundraising to get their teams there.Pictured below: The teams were lucky enough to receive some messages from Tom Christie and Will Jordan wishing them luck for the tournament.
Have an amazing time everybody!
Departing us!
It is with regret that we advise members that our quintessential and highly popular Operations Manager Jen Muller has resigned.
Jen has accepted a Sales, Marketing, Functions role with the Oxford Group, our principal sponsor.
Her last day is Wednesday 25 September.
The board is currently looking at options for this role from within the club, an announcement will be made in due course before Jen leaves.
Our sincere thanks and best wishes are extended to Jen.

SAD NEWS
A long-time member of the club, Jon Reddiford, died on Friday 23rd August after a prolonged battle with cancer. Jon joined our club in 1960 and played through the underweight grades until he started high school in 1967. After completing his schooling, he returned to the club in 1972 as a member of the talented under 19 team coached by Derek Arnold and Bruce Watt.
He continued to play for the club in the senior reserve and junior grades through the 1970’s until work took him away from Christchurch. His love of rugby continued, playing senior rugby in Southland and in Counties. On his return to Christchurch Jon set up a successful insurance brokerage and financial advisory business from which he recently retired.
Rest in peace Jon.
Thank You
A big thank you to Kara and Aaron Johnson from our Junior Club who reached out to us about the opportunity to give jerseys to children in Fiji.
This was such a wonderful thing to be able to give to these children and thank you for reaching out to be able to do this.
