Welcome!

Welcome to the latest newsletter keeping you in touch with the news from within the Christchurch Football Club.

With the Senior season now at an end, we focus on our Juniors and higher honours for some of our members.

Our Senior Girls play in their final this Saturday 11:15am on field 1 at CFC, they have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone and can't wait to see what they achieve! (photo cred: Cross-Polynate Ltd)

It was fantastic to watch former players Will Jordan, Quin Strange and Louie Chapman take the field for Tasman Mako vs Southland Stags game on Friday. Thanks to Jeni Talei for the amazing pictures.

And then to watch current players Jamie Carr, Zach Landon-Lane and Angus Liddle playing in the Cantabrians vs Canterbury U19 game.

Congratulations to Angus Liddle for being named in the Canterbury U19s squad.

Was great watching you play on Saturday, you represented the club so well, and we are all very proud of your achievement as it's an incredibly hard squad to make.

Also to Nina Poletti for making the Hawkes Bay Tui Squad.

SAD NEWS

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the death of our club member, Axeman, and friend, Dave Quested who passed away on Monday.

Dave, we understand was diagnosed with cancer only recently and passed away peacefully on Monday night surrounded by his family. Dave, a former New Zealand International Cricket test umpire, CFC Player, was always interested in the club, our teams, and attended several Axemen functions.

We pass on our sincere condolences to Dave’s family.
