Chairman's Update – Jerry Rowberry

This week it is with difficulty that I have accepted the resignation of our club President - Jerry Rowberry.  Jerry has made the very challenging, but important decision to step down as President for family reasons.  While very disappointed, the Board fully support his decision.

Jerry has been a fantastic servant to the CFC and has dedicated well over 50 years of service to our club in a number of capacities from player, captain of a very successful Premier team, through to coach, administrator and life member.  The significance of the role as our President has been hugely important to us as a Board, and his guidance and influence will be truly missed. 

I am sure Jerry will still take an active interest with what is happening on the field, but for now I am sure everyone will join me in recognising and thanking Jerry for his fantastic contribution to the Christchurch Football Club and in wishing him all the very best.
